In the bright light of a New York day, I find myself before Pier 57, a structure steeped in maritime history. Its mid-century modern architecture stands prominently, a testament to its varied past, from welcoming ocean liners to inspiring modern creativity. The sun plays over the pier, accentuating its form and casting reflections on the surrounding waters, offering a scene where industrial design meets natural serenity​.
