Twin Firestone Whitewalls in Monochrome Detail

There’s something undeniably elegant about a classic whitewall tire—and in this case, two. This fine art wall print focuses on the sculptural geometry of a vintage car’s rear fender and its matching set of Firestone whitewalls, one mounted and one resting above as a spare. The angle is tight, the frame is clean, and the chrome reflects just enough to remind you this was once showroom shine.

What makes this image work isn’t just the texture—it’s the rhythm. The spare tire echoes the main one below, both sitting in sharp contrast to the gloss-black fender sweeping through the corner of the frame. The subtle sheen, the wire-spoked wheels, the branded lettering—it’s all detail, no distraction. This is the kind of image that rewards repeat viewing. You notice the curves first, then the tonal range, then the composition pulling it all together.

Shot in black and white, this piece strips the scene down to its essentials. It’s not about colour—it’s about design, craftsmanship, and presence. It fits seamlessly into monochrome interiors or collections built around classic cars, mechanical design, or Americana.

This is real photography. The car was photographed exactly as found—no compositing, no artificial scenes. Printed by hand in my studio and signed individually. Part of the Classic Car Photography Collection, where every print captures authentic automotive detail, not staged replicas.
